$60 dollar for a digital release
>2k Literally begging everyone to pirate their game on launch
This industry is going to shit because of the hype fags
>>320543763
75$ you mean
dang I saw the thumbnail and thought it wouldn't be a shit thread
>>320543763
>$60 dollar for a digital release
So just like every big-name title on steam? Maybe you should switch to a different hobby if you're too poor to afford stuff.
Consider crocheting or sewing.
>playing NoTimeUnits the game
>>320544000
3 as in trips? nice
>>320544000
>check my three
>three 0s
>>320544000
>>320544019
Oh I have money but im not giving those jews a dime if they think they can release a half assed game with shitty story like fallout 4
already preordered lol
>>320543763
>the industry is sick because of this symptom i don't like
yeah sure buddy.
>>320544000
Three zeroes? Impressive foresight friend!
>>320544245
So basically you're looking for excuses to justify your pirating
You don't have to, just say that you want free shit
>>320543763
I don't get it, isn't 60$ totally normal?
Man what planet do you live on where $60 isn't the going rate for popular game series?
The game looks fucking cash, you'd be mad to complain about it right now
>>320544245
>Half assed game with a shitty story
Do you even know what XCOM is?
This is clearly a bait thread.
Everyone can leave~
>>320544000
>>320544000
>Robot
>Works in binary (0 and 1)
>Asks to check 3
>3 zeroes
like pottery
Just get it for $30 on a key site.
>>320544000
>>320543763
>Nearly 2016
>$60 Steam pricing is somehow news to you
>>320543763
>going all digital will certainly lower prices!
>>320544496
How the fuck those sites can sell games so cheap?
Did someone pirate all of them from russia and transport them into mainland?
If you don't support X-Com 2 you are just perpetuating the stereotype PC gamers don't buy games and ruining the chance for more PC exclusives in the future.
>>320544328
>being this blind:
>battlefront
>the debacle that is Fallout 4
>early acces
All of those listed are proof of how much the hype mentality made this industry shittier making shorter/simpler games to appeal to the masses while charging full price for them
>>320544678
Bought in bulk from a shitty country.
>>320544678
cloning keys or generating them but you run the risk of losing it if they catch you
>>320544678
Russians and BR's get keys for much cheaper, and they work everywhere. I'm guessing Valve will clamp down on this in the near future, but for now ride the gravy train.
>>320544000
>>320544853
>Giving your credit info to Brazilians and Russians
What a great idea, this surely won't backfire.
>AAA game releases for standard AAA game price
>This is unacceptable
>39e on amazon
>43e on game
>49e on steam
>>320545043
>Same price for a physical copy compared to a digital one
>act like nothing is happening while publishers fuck me in the ass
>>320544753
Yes. Buying based on advertising hype is bad news bears. But 90% of people who are going to buy XCom 2 are just looking for More NewXCom, and the streamers/tubers playing the preview build have shown that the game looks and plays exactly like More NewXCom, which is what the people want.
>>320543763
If physical is clearly worth more to you than buy physical
>>320545312
Oh shit I just figured out why OP is bitching about $60 dollar digital games while singling out XCom2 specifically. He's a consolefag.
>>320545289
Im not complaining about that XCOM 2 is probably at least good and i definetly want to play it but there literally no point on buying it on steam now because i know that by summer it will be at least half its price and with DLC and all they needed to make me buy it on launch was to cut the greedy $10+/- they want to take away for digial releases
>>320544957
>Thinking you need to be an actual Russian to get your hands on their keys
>Stealing peoples credit card information when just operating legitimately is far more profitable
>Not just charging the shit back and having your CC company deal with it in the unlikely event that anything happens
You're not silly enough to use a debit card online for anything are you anon?
>>320545562
... Like how every game works on PC, right? You pay $60 upfront if you want to play it when it comes out, or you pay $30-40 a year or two down the line in a seasonal sale. This is literally every big release.
If the game isn't 60 bucks fun for you, by all means wait till it's 30.
>>320543763
Maybe they are being assholes and inflating the price so they can say "PC exclusives don't work"
i want to buy it but i really need to manage my spending habits better
besides it wont be out till february
Pretty much every release is a "digital release"
All you get in a physical copy is a cd key and an insult to your inteligence anyway.
That being said I don't buy any game that's steam exclusive, so I'll still buy this if it's standalone and I can download it through gog or amazon and throw a backup on my server.
>Digital is supposed to be cheaper!
It probably still is if you wait for it, I bet digital, especially on PC, goes down in price much faster (if you wait for sales) than physical. Your problem is that you live in an entitled generation that needs everything now.
Be patient, learn to enjoy the now, and live cheaply later, friendo
>>320543763
>Not buying the $75 pack with the season pass
I get the feeling the shitposting about this game is because of weebs throwing a fit it isn't coming out for their shitty nipponese game boxes.
>>320546282
> I bet digital, especially on PC, goes down in price much faster (if you wait for sales) than physical.
Yeah newfags and children say that shit but it's really not true.
You could find any pc game in the bargain bin 6 months after launch up until the mid 2000s.
>>320546182
>expecting a non-indie title not made by Blizzard or Rockstar to be non-exclusive to Steam
Next thing you know he'll believe that WoW will go full F2P.
>>320546282
>Be patient, learn to enjoy the now, and live cheaply later, friendo
Or don't be patient, pirate it, and enjoy it free now.
Frankly if you're waiting until it's $7.50 you're not doing it to support the developer, you're doing it for achievements and e-penis dickwaving.
>>320546547
You mean like alien isolation, which I bought for $60, in box, and had no form of drm on it?
>>320543763
hundreds of hours of replayability with next gen graphics and such, whats the big deal
>>320543763
I am going to pirate it to check how bad RNG is.
Sure as fuck ain't pre-ordering.
>>320547197
I'll pirate it anyway and just get all the on disk dlc for free immediately instead of waiting until it's "released" in summer
