Yes. Buying based on advertising hype is bad news bears. But 90% of people who are going to buy XCom 2 are just looking for More NewXCom, and the streamers/tubers playing the preview build have shown that the game looks and plays exactly like More NewXCom, which is what the people want.

All you get in a physical copy is a cd key and an insult to your inteligence anyway.
That being said I don't buy any game that's steam exclusive, so I'll still buy this if it's standalone and I can download it through gog or amazon and throw a backup on my server.
