DaS 2 gets way more shit than it deserves.
It's the worst of the games in it's series (BB included), but it's still a solid game. The level design and bosses are generally steps down from DaS, but it's still way better than most modern games on the market.

Is it just me or did the patch in SOTFS to fix weapon durability not do much, or are the weapons really just made out of cardboard?
It was alright but not as captivating as the first DS. Like people said in this thread, the level design was the worst aspect of DS2 and also the linearity. The DLC areas were better and I'm enjoying SotFS right now, gives it some freshness at least. Not gonna touch on the multiplayer aspects, some things were better and some were worse but overall its whatever, it's pretty shit.

Yeah, I agree with this. I actually had fun playing it, I just never felt like going back and replaying it unlike the other three games, in which I've done all kinds of builds and challenge runs.
