Make it lower resolution, 960x540 is fine most of the time.

If you can help it, avoid cuts and camera shifts because compression is highly reliant on overall color palette and luminosity being static

The shorter the better. If it's seventh generation onward it almost always needs to be <10 seconds.

"Realistic" computer graphics like those from the two most recent generations straddles a kind of uncanny valley between flat colors and noise which almost never occurs in either animation or real life, the two situations most codecs are optimized for. Also for some reason gradients(this includes fog fading in like your webm or cuts where the camera fades in or out) render with tons of artifacts so avoid those too.

Because H.264 and VP8 see a smooth transition and always seem to automatically decide that using maximum side macroblocks is most efficient, and when a gradient consists of huge macroblocks, 16x16 max in the case of H.264, the line where they meet ends up being 2 very different shades colour, and it makes it very obviously blocky.

Imagine taking a picture of a gradient and cutting it into 16x16 chunks and each chunk can only be 1 colour.

I'm okay with Psychics in Fallout, but if they're going to add them, they can't just add one and call it a day, I mean really, having some sort of gypsy caravan where a secret society of psychics hiding from the world is cool and would make sense, having a handful of psychics either looked up to or hunted down due to the fact that everyone knows they ARE real or at least rumored paired up with various stigmas around them due to their rarity would be cool and it would make sense

But just having one lone psychic, possibly the only of their kind bumming around in a random settlement all like "Yeah lol bro I'm a psychic, what of it? BTW, got any drugs" and making no big deal over something that quite obviously IS a big deal is retarded

Well, you answered your own question: it's for what native 4chan doesn't do. It might not be much, but for example I like each post having a handy "hide" button right next to it.
As for the rest I wouldn't be able to make you a comprehensive list off the top of my head, but whenever I go to 4chan without 4chanX I do notice all the little things I can't do. It's not a deal breaker, but why not use it?
