original translation is out of date.
Dragon Quest mobile ports may be technically inferior to some other DQ versions but they have the official translation. I don't want to start a series with an outdated translation that future releases will not reference because they're not official.
FFVI Woosley Uncensored is a viable way to the play the original though imo. The Relocalized patch attempts to bring Slattery's GBA translation to the SNES version but they botched it and and just ended up creating more of their own translation so it's no good.
