Really hoping this means the infamous platforming section from the end of that one level is completely redesigned. That was pure torture on the N64 version.

naw. the platforming was one of the best parts. you just sucked at it.

You had to get used to looking at the ground before you jumped, and it had a thing where you can still jump even though you walked off the platform, it was how you jumped even farther to get to certain places in the game.

The platforming alone made the game stand out among other FPS of the time. It was like mario mixed with doom.

Turok platforming is cakewalk, all you need to do is turn the overlay map on.

The biggest problem I had with it was due to the N64s slowdown and fog. You would go to jump to the next platform (mostly obscured by fog) and slam right into an enemy and fall to your death, or you would go for the jump and the enemy shooting at you would cause the game to skip a few frames and miss your jump input.

Again with the map on it showed you everything, when you jumped you knew exactly where you were going to land. When platforming look at the map, not the game world.

Also there were never enemies on the ledge to body block you.
