The Relic Quest was already in the game with all three Primals present. Most people were new to them which is why it had a frech air to them.

The job system is completely wasted on this game.
Leveling alt jobs is shit because your main job absorbs all the story quests.
The cross class abilites just force you to level up jobs you have absolutely no interest in just because some of the jobs are simply unfinished.
Then you get to max level and you cant even gear up across all jobs because the weekly caps are character and not job bound.
Its absolutely awful. Exactly the way a job system should NOT be utilized.

Thats because with FC buffs, food, and some rest EXP, doing dungeons is a much faster leveling process that can also net you some gear. Guildhests are really only meant to be done once on each job for that initial bonus exp

You could also try pvp, a lot of great ones are from Hyperion. That said, I'm one of the few flames from Ultros that regularly pvp and performs decently. There's more to the game that just raiding.

I've been slowly working on all professions fairly equally so I wouldn't bog up my inventory with multiple crafting sets so I can make a concentrated effort on any profession fairly easily.

Depends on the server. Can't go wrong with hq craft and gather gear. Materials often used such as Aurum Regis Nuggets, Birch Lumber, Adamantite Nuggets, Scale Glue, etc all sell fairly well and quickly if you can HQ.
