Some really rad niche localizations and a few major releases that weren't embarrassing. An okay year overall, I suppose.
i don't think we had a single decent game this whole year so it will be hilarious to see all the GOTY talk

+ Kojima almost made Silent Hill. He became more famous. He released MGSV. He left Crapnomi and formed an independent Kojima Productions working with Sony on a PS4 exclusive.
+ Final Fantasy VII Remake announced, Cloud is finally back to being the Lightning of Final Fantasy.
+ Guts got off the boat.
+ That SVU episode of GaymurGayte came out this year.
+ Bayonetta, Cloud, Ryu, Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, Shulk, Pikachu, Link, Samus, and Pac Man are all in one game somehow.
+ Nier 2 by Platinum announced
+ Capcom, Square and Atlus don't look so cancerous anymore because Konami exists.
+ The Yakuza literally own and operate Nintendo now.
+ Konami caught fire

Almost nothing caught my attention for the entire year. There were a handful of open world and story focused games, but I'm not interested in those kinds of games at all.

Even worse than PC, the few games that I did like came out on the 3DS. All 3 home consoles had nothing.
Overall it was pretty barren. My personal GOTY is Invisible, Inc.
