You're going to get bored of warframe in 20-30 hours and you're going to get bored of PS2 in 15-20 hours so just play one after the other.
I got 800 hours in Planetside. Don't bother, the game had great promise, but the game still has the same issues it had on release and devs don't bother fixing them. Content updates and development is moving on snail pace, and SOE managed to fuck up their every other project (EQN, H1Z1). Don't get me wrong, PS2 is fun, but you'll just end up being disappointed with how shitty the devs are. Cash prices are ridiculously overpriced. Game is slowly dying atm.
Warframe is co-op PVE and gets repetitive quick and is basically grind for the sake of grind, but it's good if you're into that kind of stuff. Shooting feels great, movement is nice, lots of weapon and class variety. Developers are not perfect, but are infinitely more competent than SOE. Art direction and music is also really nice and not ruined by retarded camos and cosmetics like in PS2. Can make ingame monies by trading stuff. Got 600 hours in so far and still enjoy the game quite a lot.

Because I played PS2 for longer and there was jack shit done to the game in 2 years. Warframe on the other hand kept improving during the time I spent playing it.
Thing about PS2 is that despite being a huge disappointment, no one in the industry does the same thing on the same level. It can be incredibly chaotic and fun, but fun doesn't last long if the game doesn't evolve in any way.

Planetside 2 is a lost cause
Core mechanics of Warframe are extremely good but the game is insanely grindy which can be annoying as hell and turn off a lot of people.
Also every major change DE releases is a 50/50. Sometimes they make really smart decisions and improve the game a lotlike when they removed copteringand sometimes they make the game worse (argon crystals, nitain extract, raids are garbage, half the time a new weapon type is introduced you have to way 6-12 months for a usable upgrade of that weapon type to come out)

I get between 6-12 doing one orokin derelict defense to 20 waves. So about 30 minutes? Not to mention they give away rare resources now as login rewards and you can find boosters in missions that increase drop rates for a few hours. I barely played this weekend and I got over 30 of each rare resource.

You're doing something horribly wrong or you're incredibly unlucky. Cells can be annoying to get but they certainly aren't that rare.
