>it's stronger
>>
There's nothing wrong with it.
It's to show just how much stronger your character got, and at the same time saving a cool enemy design from being wasted.
This only happens to early game bosses, which are usually rather simplistic encounters and aren't important story characters or anything.

I liked how they did it in Bloodborne. The boss version is beefier and has a much bigger moveset.

Super Mario RPG did it right. Bosses way stronger than their previous forms were constantly being made like they were nothing. Just imagine what would of happened if smithy invaded.

I suppose.
Otherwise he did. Only actual town that was really free of his bullshit was Nimbus Land (Thought about this, but Marrymore is less of a town and more of a tourist site). Everything else got hit to some extent. Don't forget that he also took over bowser's troops as well.

That is the worst shit.
They literally just made the boss retardedly strong for no good reason.
Even worse is when the boss after him is easy as shit, and not even in comparison to the past guy, he's just really that weak. Either that or he's actually at a "level" you should consider a fair challenge, but after the past bullshit, nothing else comes close.

>Convince the boss to not fight you

>>320355720
Well, let's take Bethesda games for an excellent example.

You have five active missions on your roster, and you'd like to take care of a couple of them, so you pick the side mission (B) you acquired as a stepping stone while you were continuing the main mission (A). You accidentally stop to talk to an NPC and pick up another mission (C) by mistake, and so have to cross the entire province you're in to complete it.

By the time you're done with that first side mission, you've got an extra six missions for the one you completed. Like, I love Skyrim and everything, but damn.
>>
>>320356408
Bad example. Open world games are designed in the way so you would be able to complete everything in post-game.

I mean it's not like Bethesda or Obsidian produce quality content, but if you've already resigned yourself to it you may as well get your money's worth.

>tfw speedran FO4's plot

What a joke. I'm not a fan of the term fanfic tier, but that shit was worse. The Goddamn current season of South Park has a more interesting plot than FO4.
>>
>>320356523
Maybe, but it's definitely a good example of watching who you talk to.

Perhaps a better idea is, "if you try doing too many side quests at once in a Final Fantasy or Tales Of game, you lose track of what the fuck is going on anymore." Since those games usually don't set up reminders for what you were doing the last time you played.

Well, I haven't played Tales Of, but in FF there's usually not really many side quests, if any.
And yeah, of course, in games without a quest log or a journal of any kind, it's harder to keep track of what quests you have currently active.
That's where good old pen and paper come in. More games should make the player make notes on their own, without relying on magic compass and shit. Of course, this should be used in moderation as well.

>>320353916
Minish Cap, 1st boss.
>>
>>320357087
>Tales Of
Sorry, I meant the games in that series like Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Zesteria, Tales of the Abyss, etc. It's just like in Final Fantasy--if you want to get the Ultimate Fucking Weapon, you need to kill x number of each monster first, and nothing anywhere tells you how many you've gotten or where you need to go. Then there are others in which talking to certain people unlocks special parts of the map or something, but doesn't say who you've talked to. Leads to a lot of frustration and aggravation when the papers I jot down the info on get lost.

Oh, another that pops up in Final Fantasy games sometimes

People like to complain about QTEs, because they're just button mashing, too easy, and take no actual skill to beat the boss. But when something like this happens, I think this kind of people lose their right to complain if they fail.
