The voice acting was some of the best I've ever heard in videogames, but a lot of the writing felt like it was trying too hard to be hip high school kids at times. Some of the characters actions didn't make much sense either, but I did think the writing was at least alright. It kept me entertained, and I enjoyed myself at least.

There were a few different instances of this kind of thing, which isn't too weird for highschool students, but it felt out of place given their situations. Nothing that took away too much from my enjoyment though.

But that was the thing, Until Dawn is supposed to be a cliché B horror movie, it even has the obvious middle-twenties adults playing teenagers, all the horror movie clichés, blonde bimbo dating the alpha guy who is the class president, the level-headed female main character, the two nerdies of the group who like each other but are too shy, the annoying spoiled girl who nobody knows why is the friend of the group.
That's part of Until Dawn's charm.
I thought I was sick of it, but it was actually just the writing taking a fucking nose dive after the writing staff changed at telltale. That's why I'm moderately excited for firewatch.
