I disagree. It had really good and well established characters, a good plot and very well written dialogue.
Of course there are complaints, especially the fact that the Wild Hunt is so anti-climatic, but it's still one hell of a game.
Also the combat is in no way that bad. It's way better than TES combat, or Dragon Age or pretty much any competitor of it. It's not the best there is, but I don't understand how it gets so much shit.
