Things that scared you in not scary games.I know, i'm a pussy
Cia from that Zelda game scared me stiff.

Don't you have a bull to service, cuck?

Fuckin Catacombs in RtcW
>>320264415
Wow you went from zero to 60 pretty quick there.
A lot of shit scared me in the older TR games, but that was probably more a product of my age at the time.

The ringwraiths in LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring
Well I mean the atmosphere is really dense and otherworldly all through it, but sneaking past the black riders is spooky as shit. Especially when you find that one by the willow tree near Maggot's farm, and you have to sneak through the hollow log.

I FUCKING HATE REPLAYING THE GAME BECAUSE OF THIS GOD FORSAKEN LEVEL
>>320264260
Exploring the forest infront of Khorinis and meeting this fuckboi
The Nipton scene in New Vegas, mostly because of the music and because I wasn't expecting that dialogue with the Legion.
Granted I was a kid when I played this.
>>320264260
The underwater eels in Majora's Mask.
Literally made me drop the game entirely when I was a kid.
Also there was this giant electric fish in an early level of Ape Escape that scared me. Guess I just have a thing with aquatic life.
I don't know but there's something about this level that scares me and makes hate replaying Tooie.
>>320264260
it wasn't until I replayed this game as an adult that I realized the things they were saying were actually funny
>>320264586
Bruh. That part of the game literally scared me shitless. I spent a long time just running around the Shire and talking to people and did not expect shit to get spooky.
>>320264916
i used to hate getting lost underwater. Happened all the time.
Finally have it memorized though
OG coming thru! OG coming thru!

Same, I thought the game might suck when I played that shire level, but it immediately got awesome as soon as night fell. The music and sound of the owls and crickets helped too. The sound and the shadows, and seeing that one loom on the bridge, damn. I also found the Old Forest and Barrow Downs quite eerie.
A shame the game was linear as fuck and two hours long, so much potential given the great music and art design. Few fantasy games make you feel you really are in a magical world. It reminded me a bit of Oblivion, but even Oblivion couldn't compare.
>>320265490
It was only 2 hours long? I just kinda gave up once you start playing as Gandalf in the woods.
The Unknown Sector off of Xenon Sector 534. There's a fairly dim star, a planet, a shitload of Xenon and the skybox is almost entirely blank
Unlike all the other systems in the game with a nice spacey feel, this one just made me feel like I was right in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Creeped me right out

That's when it started to get monotonous. There's the Balrog boss fight which is alright but generic, but Moria is just a slog to get through, although there's a puzzle sequence as Frodo that works.
The game just felt rushed from Rivendell onwards.
In fact the whole thing was rushed.
And sadly you can beat that Gandalf in the woods with trolls level by simply sprinting from one end of it to the other, without taking a single hit or having to pause to kill an enemy. I found it quite hard until I discovered that little loophole. The same with most of the levels actually.

Damn. No wonder the devs weren't asked to make the movie games.
That giant mechanical shark from Bango and Kazooie , you come out of a tunnel and he looms over you
Hes friendly but doesn't make him any less terrifying.
>map for each mission all laid out normally
>if you pass the borders of the map the ground textures disappear
>if you go too far after that you're killed by some kind of orbital laser strike

You will never see Valhalla with an attitude like that.

Something about underwater levels gets me, too. I'm not afraid of water, in fact I love swimming in the ocean, but being deep underwater in a video game gives me a serious case of anxiety.
Like I'm expecting something to happen. I don't know what, but I have an ominous feeling, even with nothing happens.

Unpopular opinion time;
I thought TTA was a fucking amazing LOTR game. I don't care much for the turn-based part, but it really really really enjoyed exploring around the areas and playing "evil mode".
A shame it was also linear as fuck, but I enjoyed it more than "Fellowship", "Towers" and "Return" games.
>>320269569
In WoD there's this cave system.
I think a great example of it is in Tanaan, where the Sargerei Draenei are. There mine, if you go to the bottom, and to the left, there's a pit of water.
It goes down.
And down.
And DOWN.
There's one you find that has a treasure in it, but holy FUCK I was getting spooked swimming down there.
The flood in Halo used to scare the shit out of me
by the time 3 came out I was over it, but I had to co-op with my cousins to finish Halo 1 starting at the Library, and in 2 I had to co-op starting with Chief's flood level at the end.
This motherfucker right here. Gave me nightmares.

Come the fuck on bro.
I don't know why,but these tiki guys from spyro 3 gave me the creeps as a kid.
