I recently got into emulating and have been playing older JRPGs lately. I've already played classics like:

>Suikoden 2
>Earthbound series
>FF VI & VII
>Persona series
Would other JRPGs would you recommend me? I'd prefer games with turn based combat and maybe a story that isn't pants on head reatrded.
Also keep in mind that my PC is shitty so I won't be able to get newer games running.

Good Question. I would say Chrono Trigger because it has solid gameplay, characters you care about and a complex plot.
But I liked all of them for different reasons except maybe Suikoden 2
For super nintendo, the games you can't miss are

FF4 or 5 or 6
dragon quest 5
secret of mana (or) seiken densetsu 3
theres a lot of amazing stuff that isn't in that short list, but those are the ones you must play for that system
you could try the tales series. there are quite a few of them out so can just pick one

second game gets way too much shit because people can't handle its simultaneous turn system, which basically turns every other srpg into slow as molasses affair once get used to it.

Yes. 2 is basically bigger than 1 in every way, but some argue the first game has a tighter narrative because it's shorter. Also, you can import your save file.

Breath of Fire 1&2 (1 isn't great but I prefer to start from the beginning with series).
Both games have a really interesting cast of characters.
