I chose the Brotherhood, because Minutemen are faggots, the Institute is gay, and Railroad is just there. Was siding with BoS the best choice?
Do you like spunk hunks?
kek desu senpai
All of the factions are shit t b h
No, because you can't tell maxson to fuck off
>>320207546
Corrections
>Minutemen are just there
>The Railroad are SJWs
I too liked the BoS but I don't like that they attack me whenever I'm traveling with Danse
yeah
you get a jetpack for your power armor at the end so yeah
I don't know what the railroad/minuteman/ and institute offer you at the end
>>320207546
I chose to kill them all. The only one who should have power is the sole survivor.
minutemen ending is best, you get to continue to work on settlements while the institute is gone and both the brotherhood and railroad keep doing their thing
>>320207773
>sounds files suggest you can overthrow Maxson
>implying it's not coming soonYou do have a season pass, right anon?
>going with BOS
>Realize that nick is the only good character in the whole game and BOS hates synths
All of the factions suck.
>>320207546
No, BoS are full retard. You have no reason to believe synths are anything other than regular people who just happen to be machines. There's no justification for their anti-synth crusade aside from paranoia.
The most "evil" synth you see is just one that thinks it's a raider, and you slaughter them on a daily basis. But Maxson speaks as if the synths could rival nukes in terms of danger to the world. This would only happen if they were extremely widespread, so just destroying the Institute should be fine. Their "destroy all synths" thing is just dumb.
who gives a shit, the factions are all terrible anyway
>>320208082
wouldn't work
You can kill Maxson any point of the game
>>320208345
>see brotherhood ship fly in
>go tell Danse I accept his offer to join
>immediately whisked away to meet the leader of the faction and get promoted to Knight within literally 5 minutes of joining (bravo bethesda)
>Maxson gives his decree that every synth is an abomination that must be destroyed
>Nick is standing just outside in the other room the whole time
>Maxson finishes, everyone leaves
>no one breathes a word about the synth in the middle of their base
BRAVO BETHESDA
>>320208713
>there's no justification for their anti-synth crusade aside from paranoia
Really?
>Indistinguishable from humans >can be built to be incredibly powerful
>can also be built to be a replica of anyone in the world
>could presumably self-replicate if they had a copy of the plans around
>not a huge potential threat to mankind
BoS was the only faction actually going around doing things. They were killing all non-human scum or nobly sacrificed themselves and their vertibird to both kill mutants and provide me with a light show. Made joining them an easy decision.
The other three factions were just stupid. Minutemen were just kinda there the whole time, doing nothing at all except be annoying. The institute was full of assholes who didn't answer literally any of the questions I had about synths and their motives. The railroad seemed retarded and each member had some sort of WACKY personality that made me face palm every few moments.
Ad Victorium brothers
>>320207546
Yes brother.
if you swapped around minutemen and the railroad i'd understand where you were coming from but still disagree with you.
>>320212129
Stopped reading at last hope for mankind
Institute had the best end game rewards, discuss.
>>320207546
AD VICTORIUM, SENTINEL!
>>320212129
noice, agree completely. Minutemen are worthless, Railroad are unreasonable to the point where they could be considered dangerously nuts and Institute are stupid evil aligned.
>>320207546
>Was siding with BoS in Bethesda's FO spinoff series that can't stop fellating the BoS the best choice?
nah of course not
>Can't stay with the crew of the U.S.S. Constitution
Shit game. 0/10.
>>320209665
except the bos is anti synth because I living being with free will that is not a human is offensive to them
that is literally what they say
It blows my mind how garbage Bethesda's writing is compared to Obsidian's. The factions were SO much better in New Vegas.
I know it's a video game, but it's just so fucking bad
>can't use unarmed in power armor
>all melee weapons look small as shit in it
bravo bethesda
>>320215017
You can meet them later and get a hat
>>320208713
How about Art? Came upon him holding a shotgun to his doppleganger's head. When probed the synth admitted to being sent to kill Art and assume his life.
>>320215264
There have been a few points in Fallout 4 where I've been offended at the idea of somebody having been paid to write what I was seeing.
>>320215623
Yeah, but why would I want a lieutenant's hat when I'm already wearing a captain's hat?
>>320215458
>he doesn't know how to fix melee weapon sizes
>>320215764
that's too big, pretty much *unsheathes katana*-tier
>>320215264
Yep. The quests are awful as a result too. Each and every one is a radiant pile of fetch-questing dog shit.
>>320215837
It's never too big when you're in power armor
>>320212129
Alright, I was on the fence but this convinced me. Brotherhood it is.
I wanted to side with the Brotherhood somewhat, but as soon as i met them they wanted me to strong-arm settlers into giving them food, or outright massacre them
So in the end, me and the minutemen killed all the faggots along with their airship
>>320215264
>that compulsion to actually have an internal-discussion about which faction/lack-of-faction I preferred in New Vegas
>planning out quests in my second playthrough and getting a couple small mods to make the inter-faction relations play out to my ideal
>that feeling of satisfaction at the end of it all
I'm still enjoying exploring in F4 for muh atmosphere, but honestly it just reminds me of F3 with how completely disengaged I feel from the game's factions.
I'm just happy BoS aren't whiteknights like in F3.
The writing in the main storyline doesn't bother me that much yet. What bothers me is walking into a vault, checking out the terminal at the front of it and have a file titled "THIS VAULT'S EXPERIMENT".
>Obsidiandones do it for free
>Joining the brotherhood of steal
BoS isn't so much anti-synth so much as they're anti-rampant technology. Maxon's a bit of a shithead, I agree, but the BoS's main goal is to prevent humanity from blowing the rest of its brains out.
>>320216101
>s-stop criticizing my favorite game guys!
Stop posting or lurking all together if you want a hugbox circlejerk about the game.
>>320215716
>Kid in a Fridge
>Sturges and the Molecular Level
>everything involving Dr. Amari
>whatever the Institute's motives are
>>320216124
>the BoS's main goal is to prevent humanity from blowing the rest of its brains out.
fucjking fallout 3 babbies FUCK YOU
>>320216237
Old canon vs. new canon.
>>320216436
"Old canon" is still s thing Danse tells you their motive is the "old canon" when you meet him.
>>320215660
artbot is clearly acting under institute orders
the problem is the institute, rather than being a synth
>>320209107
>Take along Strong into the zeppelin , nobody gives a fuck.
Thanks Todd
>>320216436
No.
In Fallout 3, it is literally explained to you than Lyon's BoS is much nicer and charitable, they are white knights, and NOT the BoS we all know, this is why the Outcasts exist.
>>320207546
>BoS
>we're totally uncompromising racists and imperialists lmao
>Railroad
>we're totally uncompromising anti-racists lmao
>Institute
>we're totally uncompromising evil scientists who want to take over the world straight out of a saturday morning cartoon lmao
>Minutemen
>we're uh... soldiers I guess... lmao
wow such deep shades of grey moral decisions
thanks Bethesda
At what point in the game does the story branch off into each path with no way of going back>?
I'm not sure where I need to save to get all endings
>>320215264
I just got to the end of Paladin Danse's quest line and holy fuck was it retarded. Maxson has no reason whatsoever to spare him.
Did any ending other than Institute end with named power armor frames?
>>320218095
BoS line gave you a laundry list of named parts.
>>320219197
Can't you get all of them but Vengeance regardless of who you side with?
>>320217635
Not entirely sure, but things definitely pick up after you teleport to the Institute. If it's not at that point, it's when your faction tells you to go murder one or more of the other factions.
