Someone compiled an episode guide of the actual ones worth watching, it's what I used when I went through it and it basically cut out all the shitty filler episodes like 'C3PO and Artoo get into boring predictable hijinks' and only focuses on the more important stuff.
Doesn't cover the 6th season, though that one's shorter than the rest.

I think its a running joke from Lucas that the badass characters are actually walking disasters waiting to happen, but the simple looking guys turn out to be the most powerful people in the universe.
