GW thinks that people are seriously lining up to buy $500 in miniatures to play the game and would rather have you do that than buy a $60 game that gives you the same experience.
Its really a shame, because the 40K universe is one of the very coolest IPs and in the hands of competent developers and owners could become one of the most popular franchises of all time.
