It was perfectly fine in Shadow of Mordor. Its a bit arcade-y buy its very satisfying and better than fucking skyrim.

Easy, simple to understand control scheme that only requires a mouse with two buttons and a keyboard with six keys. Requires an understanding of reach, leverage, timing, and terrain utilization.
Insane skill curve that means you will need to practice for dozens of hours to even have a prayer against the best players. Expert, high risk moves like chamber blocking for real niggaz who just want to show off. Spammers get rekt.
Better learn how to block with a weapon, because shields break.
*gets fucking sacked on every multiplayer server, can't even kill a single person, goes back to playing Dark Souls and holding down the block button while circling around things for 20 straight hours*
