Apparently some small group of assholes came up with the original concept of the game but couldn't make it themselves, so they let Capcom make it.
But that source comes from multiple small time game sites and not bigger ones like IGN or Eurogamer so no clue if it's legit

My theory is that Rockstar wanted to re-announce it a couple months or so back but then MGSV came about with a somewhat similar approach of gameplay and they just scraped the whole thing.

Deep Down I get it. It looks like a slower paced, more meticulous version of Dark Souls with actually good grafics. And after Dragon Dogma, we pretty much know that capcom can do medieval themed style games.
But people are honeslty sad about the agent? It was going to be nothing more than another GTA clone.
