I played all the Mario RPGs except Paper Jam before SMRPG, and the only ones I'd say are better are Paper Mario and Paper Mario TTYD
Superstar Saga comes close, but doesn't quite make it
The rest hardly compare.
Also, Super Mario RPG has a great OST and good characters/story/writing. Better than Undertale's, though Undertale does excel at those things.
