>50% of gamers are female
>of that 50% most are playing casual facebook and mobile games

>50% of gamers are male
>of that 50% most are playing traditional console and PC games

Game industry realized they can shit out barely working games and instantly profit so the smart 50% of gamers are playing shitty but complete games
>>
You tell me. You seem to be under the impression that someone has decided it's a problem.

Marketing and theming. The themes of PC/console games, those games we call "AAA" titles, are overwhelmingly targeted towards the traditional interests of specifically male audiences, while the mobile games and the social games are generally targeted more along the lines of things women would usually be considered more interested in.

It's possible but why do they have to change? if they are quite happy to sit and play Candy Crush why do they need to switch to the newest AAA game?
>>
>>320063408
Well, I don't think that AAA games are that good anyway...
But yeah, it could be good to see a change, after all, vidyas are a form of culture, and it's sad that a big part of the players are limited to the shittiest side of this culture.

Because that 50% knows nothing, contributes nothing, and then starts negatively effecting the community by expecting everyone to cater to their needs.

After failing GG, games are literally being taken away, content is getting censored, and games are being made to target the casual shitters.

Badly needs an air man edit

I enjoy most genres and I don't mind playing the occasional game of Bejeweled. It's pretty relaxing you know and the soundtrack is by an old Amiga musician is pretty good.
