sf5 feels more closer to sfa and sf3 combined. There's less emphasis on knockdowns, more focus on shorter combos, and the game has added defense mechanics

They added the worst SF3 characters in Ultra. Elena basically killed the game.

SF3: New Generation/2nd Impact bombed because they tried to make it about new characters with a bare minimum of new blood. Wasn't until 3rd Strike (where they added back in a bunch of old characters) that SF3 found any footing.

At most, we're just going to see retreads of the SF2 mainstays with a few OCs here and there.

Learn some timing and get gud. Once your learn the basics with one character, any one character, most can be applied to the rest of the cast very easily.
