There aren't going to be 3 stages. There are only going to be two. The third slot found in the 3DS version was supposed to be for the Pirate ship stage that only made it on the WiiU version.

It's a good game. Not the best game ever made, but it's a game that tries to be a homage to old videogames and it does it surprisingly well with a really great soundtrack.
