and i dont like how much time you have to sink into them to become half decent

I don't. They're pretty fun now and then.
The world would definitely improve if the fighting game community was loaded on a rocket and sent into the sun, however.

i love them, they are my favorite genre

because I always get too nervous whenever I play an actual human and end up botching all my inputs and combos
i love them anyways

I'm not very good and the time it would take to become good is not worth the payoff.

i dont have friends to play with so its harder to motivate getting good

FGC and e-sports sucked the fun out of it

and corporations *capcom*cough*arksys*cough*netherrealm*cough* doubled down on DLC content

it's just not something I want to associate myself with right now

used to love em though, Ultra SF4 was the last fighter I owned. haven't cared since.
