I've played a bit of it, it's basically Warband but with pirates.
A bit unintuitive at times with the new systems, but definitely a deeper game than Warband, plus it gives me those sweet jewing feels Recettear used to give me.

Me too. Years ago there was a Russian game "city of lost ships" that was extremely detailed (if low on the actual AI) in that you could walk around as a character (so not just an economy simulator like Sid Meier, or a city simulator like Tropico 2). I hope this game feels similar.
