I never watched RvB past the original Blood Gulch Chronicles. I hear it started taking itself way too seriously and tried to be bigger than it was.
I think if I were to go back and watch it today, it wouldn't be nearly as entertaining as younger me found it.

It has charm and continued to do so up and into Halo 3, despite Rooster Teeth beginning to use outside-engine animation. After I think Season 11-13, it started to really take itself seriously, but I'd say it still holds up until that point.
