I care about keyboard over LEDs, but there is something nice in having a nice themed desk to kinda set the gaming mood. Its a nice touch. I even have blue room lighting for playing stealth and horror games. Sounds silly but its like the dimming of the lights in the theater and the sound test it just gets you ready for it.

I used to be able to touch type like a proper typist from childhood to high school, before I got heavy into PC gaming.
After that, I don't know what happened, I can do all the left handing typing perfectly still but my right hand just types with the index finger only. I can still type at a decent speed and without looking at the keyboard but it's a fucking type style of typing.

Switches aren't some hipster nerd choice and waste of money like records for some small variant in performance rarely noticed, they are what make it a mechanical keyboard. I've actually used a Blackwidow its roughly on par with a 50 dollar Sidewinder, which isn't bad at all just not worth the cost. Its not even about how long it may or may not last, as it likely will last years, but its costing you 3 times what its worth.
Basically anything else at the same price will probably be better. So its not about some nerd epeen its about not being suckered out of money by a company that sells their logo instead of a quality product.
