I keep hearing that this game is great but I honestly could never get past the fact that its a furry game, I ltierally could not play this game for more than 5 minutes because I could not stand the idea of playing as a fucking fursona.
Why did the dev do this? Apparently the guy is big on the furry community, but seriously, he is not a retard, he should know that the furry community has a huge fucking social stigma around the internet, even if his game isn't about furry porn, people will ALWAYS relate the furry artstyle to gay furry porn.

Because furries have shit taste in color schemes. It's like weeb designer only less belts and swords but more faggy neon colors and spots.
It's true that the game revolves around furry characters, and most people won't be able to get past it, but if you COULD however -like I did- you'll find yourself playing a pretty good Metroidvania with a fairly decent story and good gameplay.
Then again you shouldn't feel too bad for it being a deal breaker because if it wasn't for my patience, it would've been the same for me.

That's the thing, it's not that it's just a game with furry anthro characters, it's that it's a game with AWFUL furry anthro characters. Even though Freedom Planet made me cringe a bit, what with the "I'm a catgirl but also a dragon or something" and "I'm a duck turtle alien" at least they weren't as bare-minimum deviantart sonic OC level shit as this.
It had good gameplay and level design but the characters and story were "donut steal original character DA" tier

The combat was very satisfying, I had a lot of fun for a while until the furry gayness just kept grating my enjoyment to the point of not enjoying it any more.
Dodrill's style is basically trying to combine Disney's Rescue Rangers and an anime art style with his faces and it's bizarre as fuck, which is a shame because he does do really good environmental deigns
