Which one is the better crpg/game?
poe is a better rpg, better story, lore, quest, companions etc.
gameplay wise d:os is better if you don't mind turn based combat

original sin 2 is already shaping up as better game in every single way to the first one

PoE has better everything except the thing except the only thing that matters, Gameplay, D:OS may not have the best lore and writing but the gameplay is much more fun and combat is a thousand times better.

Is PoE actually interesting at all? I initially looked into it, but dropped it as soon as it looked like they were falling back on usual fantasy cliches, and shitty looking races.

I don't give a damn about D:OS. PoE was great but had two things that really sucked shit about it. The biggest and most surprising thing to me about it was that the story was lack luster and had little depth. Granted, it wasn't the worst ever and it had it's moments of greatness but considering it's Obsidian I expected so much more in that regard. The second thing that was really awful about it and I hope an anon can inform me that this was fixed via mods or some shit, but more than half the npcs in the game are useless stand-in's for player made short stories. I cant tell you how much it grated on me each time I would walk towards an npc only to find out it was a useless one that was there just to tell me nothing. Like I said hopefully there is a mod that takes all of them out by now or some kind of fix.
People will hate on the combat and "muh balance" fetish J. Sawyer had but when you compare it to the games of yore in that aspect it feels much smoother and faster. You also aren't missing constantly. Also the movement in general isn't dog shit.
