Probably taking the bait here but LAN (Local Area Network) party is where you connect a bunch of computers locally to play games. This was mainly before the era of fast internet and when someone calling your house would disconnect your fucking internet connection. So people would just connect computers locally to play games like SS, CS, Quake 3, Warcraft 2, etc.
You should check out Helldivers.
