It's suprisingly tasteful and neutral about the subject. The world has moved on, but people like BJ and Deathshead are old men who still think they fight for a just cause.
If anything it just shows the horseshoe effect and how it's really only people who think they are fighting "the good fight" that do truly terrible shit.

It starts out fun, but becomes really slow and inconsistent towards the end.
It also has really weird writing. Half of the game is over the top B-movie stuff, and the other half tries way too hard to be realistic and dark. It felt really jarring to me, like the team couldn't decide a clear direction for the game, so they tried to make it everything at the same time

Maybe when you need to stop every now and then and think about what you're doing. But as long as you keep moving and utilize dual wielding and grenades effectively, you can keep on running and gunning the whole game. It's fun as fuck.
As a side note, I want the sequel to have more Bombate. Not as a playable character, but have more of him and BJ just kicking it talking about their love of killing nazis.

He IS an old school shooter hero, the game just characterizes him in a way that sticks with his only real defining personality trait from that era which is that he's really good at killing lots of nazis.
You're not listening to an intellectual making deep observations, you're listening to the running train of thought of a simple grunt.
Everything he says exists for the sole purpose of psyching himself up. You don't ever hear him opening up to the people around him, the closest thing to that is when BJ and Bombate relate to each other about all the dark shit they have rattling around in their heads. You also have him use levity a lot to deal with situations, e.g. "Fuck you Moon" or that easter egg when he pretends to drive a car.
It's the best way they could have given depth to a character with barely any personality whilst making sure to keep what little there actually is intact, pic kinda related.

Each grid on the scope is one blast when locked and you can lock up to around 9 (or something) targets at full charge, for the bigger Nazi's you can wait till all of the grids lock and fire all 9 bursts at it, if theres multiple Nazi's just point it so theres more than one in your scope and when you pull the trigger they'll all melt.

I'm doing this now and bored because it plays like EVERY OTHER MODERN FPS GAME TODAY. Should I bother finishing and going to New Blood? Even the retro bonus stages are ass because they are slower pace then the old games were and strangely enough devoid of content compared to those. The pacing tries to be like Half-Life 2 at times, where you're walking or driving through either dystopia or a rebel hideout and if he had been silent it would have been as bad as when Homefront tried to do the same thing.
