The worst one by far is that with Espers anyone could learn any magic but at least the characters still had unique traits, With materia literally anyone can do anything, even stuff that were always character skills like Steal, and the only factor to to tells the characters apart are limit breaks.
There's also other shit like cutscenes increased ten times over, dumber random encounters, more straightforward bosses, less party members despite having more or less the same amount of character development, smaller world, etc.

Ff6 is the same as 7. Both good games but heavily flawed. Too many characters which I guess adds to replay value. Sabin commands are impossible to pull of unless you're playing on a snes. Most of the time you're playing with characters you don't want to level up but you're forced to. Ff7 suffers from horrible translation. Zack death isn't explain properly. Ff6 everybodys mechanic was different where as ff 7 it was more unified. There's is no ending to ff7 and i refuse to except advent or crisis as canon. Both had amazing world maps and stuff to explore. If anybody thinks one is better than the other is retarded. Theyre pretty simular. Both also had amazing music but 7 is better because is more diverse in instrumentation instead of straight up classical. It's all subjective because job ff is best ff so it goes to 5 for me

Also, I know FFX gets shit on for having a gay romance story at the core of it, bad voice acting, stupid plot twists, and also being the first really linear game in the series, but I think it had the best battle system.
It actually made the player use every character and think about enemies weaknesses. I always hated having to sideline characters because I couldn't fit more people in my party and with X, I never had to worry about that.
And the music was pretty god tier too.

The way the class system works now is that all the boards have their own specializations and have certain skills at lower levels that other boards don't have so you can access fun shit earlier. Also they added more skills n shit that weren't in the original game.

Just ordered it looking for a game similar to the Dragon Quest games, I'm not really a fan of gimmicks in JRPGs, something which put me off with modern FF games.
Never played any besides 13, 10 and another one but I'm not sure which one.
FF6 has better characters, story, and music. FF7 has better gameplay and atmosphere.
