I hope you are not talking about the remake as its garbage, if not though it may depend on how far you got but compared to the other TMNT games some of the brawler mechanics are neat including different power attacks for each player and the ability to pickup an enemy and smash them left or right hitting others, or to launch them towards the screen. it has way more references to the show, all the bosses are characters from the series. Also the game practically STARTS after you beat Shredder in the Technodrome.

I got like 6 cousins and direct siblings aged 7-14 and despite most of them seeing it and liking TMNT already (Nick Cartoon) ill just say none of them swapped their Marvel backpacks and lunchboxes to TMNT.
That being said this movie looks like, way less militarized mechashredder nonsense and more wacky fun that appeals both to kids and manchildren. I fully expect the 3rd movie to go full Dimension X / Technodrome and complete the circle of 100% appealing to fanboy nerds by appealing to children.

For the people wondering why the Turtles look so weird while Rocksteady and Bebop look better.
Most people relate more to non-human characters who look more human. The Bay Turtles were designed to be as humanoid as possible while still being turtles, which is why their faces look so human, as well as being the heroes they need to look more human to be seen as the good guys. Unfortunately, it only made them look even less human because of the uncanny valley.
Rocksteady and Bebop, and likely any other evil mutants they introduce, look more animalistic because they're bad guys, which makes it easier for the audience to boo them and root against them. Its the same idea behind why elves and dwarves are quite human-ish while orcs and ogres are fugly bestial things.
Haven't the Turtles always kind of looked like black people? Just seems more weird now because it's the weird CG uncanny valley shit.

Plenty. There was a really shit beat 'em up on the PS2, and another really shit beat 'em up recently. The Konami arcade ones were the only really great TMNT games, although the NES one was kind of fun despite its flaws.
I hope that rumour about the next Platinum/Activision game being TMNT is true. Transformers Devastation was fucking amazing aside from the shitty content-to-price ratio, and I don't even have any particular attachment to Transformers. TMNT is a franchise I actually really liked as a kid, so giving it the same treatment would be awesome.
