Beautiful art design and haunting atmosphere but the gameplay was ultimately a grind fest reliant on Rock/Paper/Scissor combat mechanics. It's the same thing that turned me off from Ni No Kuni. At least Folklore wasn't 300 hours long and took 299 hours to get started.

It was more interesting than it was fun to play.
