Considering upgrading my PS4 harddrive to 1tb. Anyone have any difficulties with it? It is supposed to be pretty straightfoward. Does it speed the PS4 up much or is it mostly a storage solution?

If you want a ssd or high actual read / write you will skip SATA devices and make the leap directly to PCIE hardware.
The only real consumer benefit to owned an SSD is superior random access speeds. This is what non pc literate fags refer to as "MUH FAST LOAD TIMES"
Most people who use PCIE drives actually do encoding work and they use them because moving raw video is a bitch even on the fastest ssd drives.
