Writers of the Archie comics confirmed that the Sonic bible SEGA forces them to follow explicitly states that only male Hedgehogs in the Sonic universe have Super states (Blaze being the exception, since she doesn't use the Chaos Emeralds).
Super Tails and Super/Hyper Knuckles (even their Heroes super forms) have effectively been retconned.

Sonic Heroes is quite clearly unfinished. I'm like 90% sure the teams were supposed to have some original levels that were unique to their story. Also when you think about it the game really has no real eggman bossfights.

The PC version is also really different from the GC/Xbox versions. It feels like it's running on an older build of the game or something, it's fucking weird. Still better than the ps2 one though.

Still think this is one of the best sonic designs by far. The early 3D sanics really had untapped potential with it's atmosphere and universe.
