Yes, anime sub groups and manga scanlator groups are filled to the brim with drama. They'll drop projects for the exact same reason this one is ending; because someone else is translating it faster, but not as accurate as them. It's always about who has the biggest e-peen and gets the most credit rather than just ensuring more people can enjoy a series. It's ridiculous.

As amazing as the setting and premise were, the actual game was a huge letdown. Literally half the episodes were tutorials, with the second case being nothing than a rather short investigation.
The game end on a huge cliffhanger and leaves the mystery they built up since case 1 unsolved.
All cases were incredibly forgettable with the last one being particularly bland for a final case.
Just check out the amazon.co.jp review of the game.
In short, you're not missing anything.Asougi's theme was awesome, though
