In my opinion, Halo CE, 2, 3, and Reach can be considered, in terms of both story and setting, an all-time top 10 military sci-fi (this also includes all the novels that are NOT Broken Circle, Shadow of Intent, and anything a part of the F*rerunner Saga). Any other games and books are shitty-space-opera-tier.
How is that russian PC Halo going anyways? I'm also disappointed that I couldn't play Halo CE for the PC because each match is fill with BRs and Mexicans.

I've read all of those, and liked all them. Where Halo trumps them is that:
1) Halo is more fleshed out and relatable. You not only get a sense of what the military of the UNSC is like, but you actually get to see huge, varied parts of the world it has to interact with. You know the names of planets and stations, you know people who live there, you know the companies that make the weapons and vehicles that the military uses. Those books you listed are great, and I really enjoyed them, but they are RAW military sci-fi, and thus less-relatable.
2) Halo is an IP, but it's first and foremost a video game IP. A video game allows more immersion and exploration than any of the novels you listed, no matter how good they are.
