I beat the game with a True Pacifist ending the first time, and made a huge fucking mistake. I like all the characters now, andFlowey as just told me not to reset the timeline and ruin their lives, but I want to experience a genocide run. Is there anything that happens if you start Genocide after Pacifist? I know there's some special shit if you do it the other way around.
Lastly, what should I do if I'm starting that run? Name myself Chara? Frisk puts it in hardmode right? There's alot of content and I'm not sure how to experience it all the right way.
For example, I've seen images of Undyne in crazier armor, I don't know anything about that. I try not to spoil things for myself by visiting a wiki. I really feel like I got the best and most true ending first though.

Name yourself what you normally name yourself in RPGS (thats the point, chara was just in screenshots)
hard mode is a thing but only to the end of the ruins (it says its coming but most likely never real)
The stuff about Undyne will be explained if you do genocide
Genocide is unaffected by previous Pacifist play-throughs. Naming it Chara doesn't do anything except give a unique message on the character naming screen. Hard mode ends after the ruins.
All you really need to know is that you'll need to grind to kill every monster, not just bosses; you'll know when you get a special message at save points and in battles that you've killed enough.
Leave it for a few days if you can't convince yourself it's just a video game and the characters aren't real, then start genocide
Warning: gameplay-wise, it's a fucking chore. Yes, there's two good boss fights and a bunch of altered stuff, but that's all.

Fair warning.
Get to the end of the sans fight, deliberately die, and then reset and do the good ending again. This saves you from the terrible alternate good ending the genocide ending causes.
Aside from the character stuff, and the charm and whatever else, can we all agree that the song that plays while you fight Asriel is one of the coolest fucking songs in all videogames?
I enjoyed Undertale, my main problem with the game is that I really liked the dodging mechanic, but there are only two challenging fights in the whole game.

The ending itself is entirely the same save for about half a second. Saying what exactly it is is kinda spoiler territory but believe me when I say it ruins all closure the good ending has.
If you are going to finish the genocide ending you better be ready to never get uplifting closure from this game again.

By the way don't enter snowdin town before finishing the grind. Same goes with toriel's home. If you do, the game sets you on neutral route. I recommend grinding this first screen until something happens, you'll see.

You can enter Snowdin, it's passing Papyrus that ends it. Entering Snowdin just changes the save point message away fromthe remaining number of monsters to kill, but you can still grind for them. I made the mistake myself but was relieved to find out I could still go through with genocide.
I'm not sure if anyone remembers, but a while ago, I ran a little thing on /v/ called Anon Attorney. I played through emulated versions of the Ace Attorney games with commentary and screencaps and everyone had a blast. We had a steam group to keep it scheduled and lots of OC was made for it.

Funniest thing, I was one of those angry people. My friend kept telling me to play the game before I get spoiled, I kept refusing and telling them to bug off because I kept seeing this game everywhere and got sick of it already. "The game can't be this good" I thought.

OP, don't be a pussy. The game wants you to do a genocide run, no matter how much it tries to guilt trip you. Genocide reveals a lot about the backstory and plot and you get to see interesting sides of characters that you don't get to see in previous runs.

But the game does make you feel something for it's characters. It's not normal for a game to do so and then turn around and tell you if you start your game over you'll be resetting their lives, they're happy now, but they won't be if you do.
It's not like as the player you believe they're living (if you're a normal person) but it's jarring in a fun, original kind of way. No reason to get triggered by a sentence folks, we all like games here.
