Either is good, but strength sucks. If you want to go physical, put points into dexterity, agility and luck.

Whether or not you choose to go physical or magic, the other core stats are vital for a myriad of reasons
Dexterity: mostly for firearms/Gun Skill power
Agility: due to how the Press-Turn battle system runs, you can decrease the number of enemy attacks by dodging them.
Luck

>magic: affects chances of landing instant kill spells (I think)

So dex only relates to guns? Any reason to go for hybridization or should I only aim for one main stat with agility and vitality?

They both increase physical damage, but STR does more for your basic attack while DEX does more for your physical skills, with the physical skills being WAY better
Either way get a bunch of luck and agi too

Doesn't luck also factor into how difficult scouting and such is?

Dex = Regular gun attack damage and All Phys SKILL damage (this is the important part)
STR = Just regular melee weapon attack damage
So in other words STR is useless in comparison to DEX since Phys skills are just plain better than regular attacks

Ok actually STR affects skill damage as well apparently but to a lesser degree than DEX so you'd still be better off investing in DEX then

Dexterity deals with both gun and physical skills (critical strike, lunge, gram slice, etc.). Strength only deals with your basic fallback attack.
