All the worlds are Disney based and a few characters are from FF games. It doesn't really matter if you have past experience with either.

FF have cameo characters and little to no plot relevance nore any mentions to their home game plots.
Most disney worlds use a part of the movies plot but also has its own plot that is guided by the movie plot.
Really good franchise and I like all of the entries even 356/2. KH2 is the pinnacle of the series but 1 CoM BbS and DDD are all good in there own right
