Floris is awful and destroys the balance of the game.

I like Vanilla too, I think the game is best with only Diplomacy and maybe Freelancer.
Floris has cool shit, but they remove the vanilla equipment and I am not joking about the balance issues, I literally couldn't die at lvl 20.
Still, the game's biggest problem is the grindy fucking endgame, which as far as I know no mods fix.

I too pretty much like vanilla. So diplo+freelancing is the real way to go for vanilla enhence ? I dont mind the end game being hard and slow to conquer as long as its reasonnable to play and planify.

Sure, they are morons when it comes to keeping the community updated on thier progress but they said it's comming out next year and showed that they already have made few nice gameplay mechanics.

First 20 hours I kept starting and restarting and never learned the mechanics. Dropped the game for awhile, saw more postings here and picked it back up, learned how to play the game a bit more and build a decent character for another 20-30 hours, knew little about honor and tried making my own faction from the get go and got absolutely ass raped. Stopped playing again for awhile, came back with another character dedicated to the Nords, won almost the entire map in about 60 hours. Started playing online, switched to the most recent Total War game. Came back and played on mods, mostly Gekokujo, for a long time. Now finally trying to "beat" the game as a female grill with the Swadians and I have about 20+ hours now.
Just beat the Khergits, Vaegirs have 1 castle thanks to the Nords, wen to War with the Nords and I singlehandedly took all of the land they took from the Vaegirs and was made Marshall and now I'm on the warpath deep into Nordic territory with some actual back up from my fellow lords

How is Viking Conquest? I've only played a little bit of Napoleonic Wars, 20-30 hours of Fire and Sword, and maybe 20 hours of original MB outside of Warband play. I heard Viking Conquest was a buggt unplayable piece of shit like F&S was.
