You ever wonder about the nameless mooks that die by the dozen in games or in movies? These guys (at least in the game's own reality) have families. They have people who care for them. They probably took this job because it paid really well despite the hazards involved. Hazards like you, the supposed 'hero' of the story. They probably believe that what they are doing is the right thing, something that will genuinely make the world a better place. They were probably looking forward to time off, or when they could return home to their families after everything had blown over. But then you show up, gun them down, blow them away with high tech weaponry and conveniently placed red barrels. Now they will never see their families again, and their families will never see them again. These people all had ambitions and dreams beyond guard duty in some secret underground base...and you come along and snuff them out like one does a candle.
You're a monster, /v/.

I know.
In the same way target dummies at a shooting range don't invoke feelings of guilt, I realise enemies are there in game to be killed, and that they have no families, emotions or dreams because they aren't real.
NEVER SHOULD HAVE COME HERE!
Do you feel like a hero yet?
I'm pretty sure these guys were all a bunch of fucking assholes.

>jrpg hero
>literally kill half the planet's ecosystem by grinding
>you're saving the world
I wonder if there's a game that went meta with this, like the demon king or whatever, decided to kill the hero at a young age just to prevent him going on an "adventure" wich would mean the absolute genocide of the entire monster/demon population.

If you willingly work for an evil organization as muscle and your job is literally to put your life on the line to kill people, I'm not going to shed tears when I kill you.
Maybe if they have your family hostage or something.
>wasted time beating an entire squad of guards with my fists in asscreed 2 because one of them mentioned how happy his wife would be with his new job
I also punched out all the guards on the roof when I had to. I don't even know why I felt sorry for them, since the entire game was a simulation.
And to make this part worse, you kill a quadriped tank by flooding the room it's in. This also floods the living quarters section of the base you just went through, killing everyone inside. You have to backtrack through the complex and see all the people you just killed.
God this game is great at making you feel like a dick.
>You don't look like a killer
>Immediately gets shot in the face
>They had families
>They had gfs
>They had a work
REEEEEEEEEEE!!! KILL ALL NORMIES!!!
