But holy fuck has Tekken dropped off the face of the earth since the PSX days. Hardly anybody I know has played a game past Tag, and I don't know anybody who's actually GOOD.

Nah, literally everything involving Tekken 7 has revolved around the tournament that's taking place this coming weekend. They had to keep the game Asia exclusive for a while so that when all these foreigners come over they will seem like absolute masters compared to the rest of the world.
