also you can't trade either, which means that high ranked people can't sell low ranked guys really strong armor and carry them through the game
you're basically forced to actually get decent and get armor through your own suffering

The basic idea is this
Do literally fucking anything from 1 to 70, instances, party quests, just grind somewhere
it doesn't matter it takes no time at all
from 70 to 100 you can just do RnJ party quest, might want to do it during a 2x event or something
then monster park extreme takes you all the way from 100 to 140, but there are a lot of quests in between that to make things less boring
there's currently an event where every time you level up you level up 3 times, only applies to one character, so that makes things even easier

I don't understand any of these classes... what the fuck am I doing when I start a new character? I played maple back in .v10 and this.. I don't know what the fuck I'm selecting.

THIS. I did it with 4x on (2x event + buff) with max HS(+50% exp) AND a kanna. I went from 70 to 105 in <20 minutes.

That's how I got through the game on my first character. Went with Bishop because I heard you could sell your buffs/healing for crazy Mesos, then I ended up never actually doing that and just Soloed constantly.

I leveled a Mercedes to 150, finished today during the second 2X exp. Just wanted the 15% exp link skill but because I used burning it felt like a waste not to get to 150. It was fucking horrible due to crappy mobbing skills and having to go into melee range as a squishy "ranged" class that died in like three hits.
Made a Kaiser immediately after and I'm blazing through levels and don't have to worry about my health.

Went with the edgiest thing I could make, mobility + good mobbing on avenger is great.

Good lord, that's how quickly you can get past level 100 nowadays? Fucking hell, I remember a decade ago when my friends and I would play for weeks and not make it past level 40. I think the highest I ever got on a character was third job and that was like after a month of playing.

I don't know where to level after 130. Captains are always full and everything else kills me in 1 hit now (at 6khp). I knew I should've made an Aran.
Got to 140 on a mage through sologrinding.

It is much easier to level up now, you can get to about level 120 with no problem. After that is starts slowing down a bit until it's back to being a really slow grind like it use to be. And the level cap is 250 now.

Playing Phantom for the first time. Nice to play something that isn't a mage.God, I forgot how awful grinding was. Not that it wasn't fun playing a Phantom, but it definitely wasn't fun playing for several hours today. Maybe I'm getting too old for this.

With the Sizzling Santa thing I keep on farming in high level areas for new equips then immediately outgrowing said equips.

Nope, has to be 100+ on that server.
Fortunately, level 100 takes all of a day or two if you're dedicated to it. Just grind to 30, do theme dungeons or whatever the fuck you want to 70, then RnJ to 100.
I'm honestly a bit salty.
Went back to my old characters (180+ bowmaster on one account, 150ish bishop on a second) and couldn't remember my info for the bishop. I guess I'll have to make a new account and level a new HS mule.
So is every class now "Do 8 attacks that hit 10 enemies for 550% damage? I remember warriors being amazing because they could hit 6 enemies with one attack that deals 60% damage.

How is the demon avenger? I like the concept of classes that work entirely differently.

Should I ever bother using the regular attack as a Mechanic? It eats up so much mana compared to just spamming Gatling gun
Level 140 Angelic Buster. My damage is absolute shit since I didn't learn how to upgrade gear and shit, and I haven't found any good clothing/shoe drops for the last 100 levels. Still fun though.

Seeing purple "1"s the whole time I'm playing and ignoring any kind of boss mechanics is pretty fun. I also get sweet buffs and debuffs so I feel useful even though I deal no damage. Pretty alright.
