Ethereal Elven Overhaul is good. It also has patches for mods like Interesting NPCs.

I played through Skyrim vanilla and enjoyed it at the time, have been considering getting it on steam and modding it. (originally got it free on 360) But I don't think mods could help me enjoy another playthough much without fixing that.
