They removed almost all boss mechanics and added the dreaded Boss enrage to replace it and make non damage dealers somewhat useful.
Lots of other stuff like having to free your pawn by fighting through a dungeon every time he dies etc. which can be avoided by paying a subscription.
tl;dr DD:O is DD:DA lite with multiplayer.

Probably just debugging and testing, that shit takes months even on a port, and unlike with new games you can't expect a grace period after release to fix up anything with patches. What's more the port team itself will probably be doing it and there won't be many of them.
It will be mostly done but they'll need to check specific events or coding things and guarantee they transitioned properly.

Don't play the warrior. This class is not what you are expecting. You are not Guts. You are not super strong, not super fast, you don't kill anything with one hit.

Don't play the warrior. You will only have three skills. Why? Because the devs hate you, that's why. Not because they thought that this is his style, the way he goes, with few means. Not because they had a specific playstyle in mind or because sometimes restricting the player adds to the experience. No. They hate you and don't want you to have fun. No one has fun with the warrior.
Don't level as the warrior. It doesn't matter that he has the best augments for physical classes. No one uses them. Just do like everyone else says and level as assassin. Those 20-30 extra physical attack sure make up for it for being so squishy in every regard.
Just don't play him. Play one of the hybrid classes. You will have an answer to almost every problem and be super overpowered. While not being dependant on other classes, you can throw the party-balance out of the window. No serious fights, no struggle, no clenching your teeth, just casually steamrolling through the game. No, it's not like souls, combat wise. It is way more "floaty" and less skill based (well less based on abusing inv frames but hey). It is a blast though. Never got very far because it performs like crap on the PS3 but it was fucking great.
How's the more ranger based classes (iirc magic archer or something I can't remember). My last time playing this two years ago was warrior to assassin, and I kind of liked bowing it up. Warrior was pretty cool, but really samey, so I'm thinking something less up close and personal might be more fun since that's not how I usually roll in games.

Gotta go fast, even when climbing. Often overlooked, really strong class, when it comes to the daggers. Bow is still good.

Better level some sorcerer. After this, you get the most op class in the expansion, and really good class overall. Versatile, crazy, I mean you can set yourself aflame. Good mix of dagger and bow skills.

you can switch class at any point in the game by talking to an inn keeper
it costs some "class points" the first time but it's very negligible
every vocation has augments you unlock by levelling up your vocation and you can keep and equip those regardless of your current vocation
so for example if you want your sorcerer to be more tanky, play warrior until you unlock the defensive augment, then go back to sorcerer and equip it

Well Ranger might be the fastest, but it requires explosive arrows to do it really fast which is a bunch of extra shit to carry around. Assassins aren't faster than ranger and can be significantly slower if you have bad luck on trying to reach his weak spot.
Sorcerer is literally buff up and hold square. Your bolts take off like 2-3 health-bars each cast. Definitely the easiest class to farm Daimon and the Ur Dragon on.
