It's probably easier to list the Sega games that aren't "dead". While I appreciated their desire to iterate their designs without constantly barfing out sequels to series, that process definitely left me and other Sega faithful wanting for follow-ups that never came.
They used to have a cabinet of the first one at this bowling alley in my city. Played the shit out of it.

The shotgun was fun (it was a powerup in 2 iirc so not unheard of) but the smg in 4 felt weak and I hated the shake gimmick for breaking out of grabs

They made a port of the first game for the GBA. It played from an isometric perspective, like the Tony Hawk games on the system. There was also a more direct port on IOS and Android. As for a new game, you wouldn't want one, as Smilebit doesn't exist anymore.

Personally think it's better that way.
Means that there isn't "burn out" and people get sick of hearing about it.
Also it had a solid enough ending, even if the twist was predicted.
Only way to improve really it is give it at least minor replayability, maybe make it a bit longer.inb4 Desolate Hope easter egg in FNAF world
