The Carpe Fulgur version cut content and fucked up the game. Instead of being able to buy low level gear from an item vendor you had to get dungeon drops for everything, this means that a dagger that I should have been able to just buy didn't drop in the 67 hours I've played and so I can't 100% the game. Those fuckers don't deserve any money, pirate it.

If you fail to make a payment it loops back to Day 2 with all your inventory. Go buy as much as you can and then fail, you'll go back to the beginning with a headstart. You don't keep your money, so spend it all.

played it. gameplay is not deep at all.
you just have to keep selling at any price and you'll win. every costumer has some segret price ranges and favourite items he will accept for each category of objects. you have to bargain them a price. and you learn their preferences pretty fast and master the system you will use for hours in few minutes.
you also have to dispose items and forniture in your shop so it attracts a certain target audience. nothing special here.
the game contains dungeon you have to fight in and some unique funny custumers with small quests. i liked the girl that wanted to sell me precious art pieces for enormous impossible prices.
the dungeon part of the game is in particular pretty bad and doesn't fit at all.
it's the best shop-keeping game i ever played only by virtue of being the only one i have ever seen, you can easily skip it. i didn't like the main characters either, but i can see some people liking cute anime girls; i wonder if for those people having a cute character is the requirement and sufficient reason to buy any game.

I personally liked the store gameplay most of all.
You set prices, organize them in a certain way, you get upgrades for selling more shit, you can play the market for when stuff is in high demand or buy tons of something when it's in low demand.
On top of that there's a dungeon crawling element, I can't quite remember if they are randomly laid out, with more shit to find and sell at your store.
There's about four playable heroes for the dungeon segments.
And I liked the music, cute girls as a bonus.

Only on very long dungeon crawls specifically chest hunting, like 25 levels long. You still need some business acumen to know what is what isn't crap and a big enough bag gained from merchant levels. Too much investment in real-time for very little return. Sad thing is, you need to know what you are doing for dungeon crawling to be remotely even profitable. Fun minigame tho.
Although I think some item tiers ARE linked to cleared dungeons so you might have to clear them once or twice.
