Because the adventure actually happened, and isn't a dream. The Island itself is the dream, a manifestation from the mind of the sleeping Wind Fish. Despite the name of the game, Link is awake and real from the moment he gets off that bed.

No, I wasn't suggesting that at all. It's just that most of the time when you hear "it was all a dream" it's that everything was just thought up in someone's legitimate dream. Tidus himself was just a dream, who somehow got out of it and began to live in the real world. Pretty unique in comparison to that, although Link's Awakening is also quite unique.

Koholint Island was the physical manifestation of the Wind Fish's dreams in the real world.
So while it may have been a dream in some sense, you (as Link) were still real, and really went on the adventure

Was going to be getting some like $1900 a month before taxes and the job was basically mine. The manager wanted me on, they liked my attitude, and even superceeded the usual hiring protocol.
I didn't use my regular email since I had already applied to FedEx and failed their qualification exam once a few years back. So I got an email that told me about a drug test I had to take within 48 hours. I was out of town that weekend, so I didn't even check my work email until I was back home. I asked my manager if I could take another and she agreed.
To make a long story short, the background check company refused to use the second test, corporate doesn't give a fuck, and they won't let the store hire me.
