K64 was good but damn, KSSU is like my GOAT and let's be honest, K64 is pretty slow if you take off the nostalgia goggles for a moment.

man that's a hard one
on one hand, ultra has all the fucking classics and adds another level of whipped creamy content on top. The music, the levels, the powers, everything about it is just fantastic and memorable. The graphics/art are timeless and don't need to be changed in any way.
on the other, crystal is a very unique game on its own with really fun power mechanics and just as good levels. It does suffer from being on the N64 since it hasn't aged as well as games like Zelda or super mario 64 (not that bad still). The music is original and has it's own atmosphere that is very enjoyable. The final boss is also pretty good.
I honestly don't know which one I'd pick.

How the fuck do people say 64 is better than SSU?
64's ability combining is cool and all, but there are only so many decent ones. The gameplay is slower than a tortoise with cancer and overall feels very meh.
SSU is the pinnacle of Kirby games and has my vote. It's dynamic, has the best overall gameplay, it's packed with content, and has what's probably the biggest challenge of the series.
No one can say with a straight face that 64 is objectively an overall better experience than SSU.

There's a difference between being sonic fast and being at a good pace.
Pacing matters in a platformer.
64 plays so much slower.

- Abilities in Super Star have more than 1-2 moves, making them more fun to play with.

- Besides O2, the bosses in Super Star are better, RPG bosses and some of the major bosses were really cool to fight against

64's combo copy is cool and all, but it just leads to one use power which is usually not even better than just spitting out enemies/air. 64 did story right though, it was fun, but as an N64 platformer, it's pretty weak when compared to Goemon's Great Adventure or Mischief Makers. Almost feels like a filler game

I dunno but if I had to guess I'd say it's the most powerful and cunning weapon 02 could create with the amount of preptime he had. Zero-Two is considerably weaker and had to use some actual planning?
I think it's neat that 02 is definitely more menacing than he was as 0, but he's obviously a lot weaker. Hell 02's dark matter can't even produce fins.
